Marketing Director (Remote) – For Pooling

Silicon Valley Commerce LLC is a fast-growing e-commerce retail and wholesale distribution company, headquartered in San Francisco, the technology hub of Silicon Valley, United States. With a vast network of over 500 retail partners and an extensive global distribution reach, SVC specializes in leveraging technology and strategic marketing to excel at product distribution and sales.

We are seeking an innovative and driven Marketing Director to join our dynamic and growing team. This role focuses on developing and implementing marketing strategies that align with our business goals and enhance our presence across various e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in digital marketing within the e-commerce space and a deep understanding of consumer behavior online.

This position will be working closely with our BD Team, Advertising Team, and other relevant teams, and will be reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer.

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: Up to $3,000 per month (depending on experience and final interview assessment with our CEO)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy targeted marketing campaigns specific to each e-commerce platform, especially Amazon.
  • Work with our CEO, Sales and other relevant teams to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy.
  • Analyze our company profile and operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of our marketing requirements.
  • Track and provide regular updates on critical performance indicators to inform decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) strategies to enhance online presence.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling marketing and advertising content, including product listings/descriptions and digital images on our Amazon platform.
  • Regularly oversee the marketing budget and allocate resources judiciously.
  • Analyze customer feedback and behavior to better tailor our marketing strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the performance of all marketing activities.
  • Work closely with our CEO, BD team, Data Analytics team, Finance and Advertising teams to align marketing strategies with sales objectives.
  • Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns across platforms including LinkedIn, Google Ads, social media, company website, and content marketing.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, design, and execution, to engage with different customer segments.
  • Coordinate with retail and e-commerce platform partners to ensure marketing efforts are synchronized and effective.
  • Regularly perform A/B testing to optimize campaigns and increase the efficiency of marketing spend.
  • Stay updated on new marketing tools, industry trends and strategies, attending workshops and training as necessary.
  • A strong understanding of ecommerce trends and advancements that drive traffic, and conversion.
  • Strong digital marketing and media planning that is supported by data and insights.
  • Work closely with Sales colleagues to execute the business strategies that have been defined to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop the digital marketing plans specific for Amazon that aligns with SVC’s business goals and objectives. The main objective of these plans is to drive sell-through results, optimizations and best practices leveraging media, content and data.

Experience, Qualifications, and Qualities we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Knowledge in marketing principles and practices.
  • Able to demonstrate with 4-5 years of experience in marketing, specifically within an e-commerce environment.
  • An accomplished marketing leader who can drive sales and boost our ROI.
  • Proven successful track record in senior marketing role and campaign creation.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis, financial forecasting, and marketing performance tracking.
  • Extensive experience with SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, content marketing, and email campaigns.
  • Proficient in using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and other marketing analytics tools to derive insights from data.
  • Ability to create compelling and sales-driving content across various formats and platforms.
  • Experience in managing corporate social media accounts and campaigns that engage audiences and promote sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for crafting clear and persuasive communications.
  • Capable of managing multiple marketing projects, from inception through execution and evaluation.
  • Strong analytical skills, a good understanding of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing tools, creativity, and excellent communication skills are required.
  • Ability to think creatively to develop innovative marketing strategies that differentiate the company from competitors.
  • Knowledge of CRM software, content management systems, and familiarity with the latest trends in marketing technology.
  • Ability to adapt strategies quickly based on market trends and results from ongoing campaigns.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing strategies align with overall business objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Able to work in the Eastern Standard Time Zone (UTC-05:00)
  • Set up to work from home with a stable internet connection and a quiet area in order to communicate with stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

  • Remote experience.
  • E-commerce experience (Walmart, Etsy, eBay, Shopify, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Asana, Slack, Hubstaff and Google Suites.
  • Have worked in a company whose customers are brands and sellers on Amazon.
